The treatment is not just for pain relief but also for better overall health and long lasting benefits
Lower back pain, shoulders pain, indigestion, headache, neck pain etc…are just symptoms. They are alarm bells, the way in which our body is telling us that our health needs attention.
Throughout our lifetime, we are exposed to stressors, traumas, diseases, environmental toxins or inappropriate nutrition and lifestyle choices that affect the expression of our innate health. Due to these factors, we may develop pain and feel in a “dis-eased state.”
This is why I spend time to take in-depth information regarding your health history, lifestyle and current complaints, to find out why your symptoms are occurring now and in this way, what’s at the root of them and how I can best help you to feel better.
Each one of us is unique.
I see each patient as a whole and unique person, with a unique history, set of circumstances and lifestyle factors that interact to create your health, or the experience of feeling unwell.
In my treatment approach, it is my aim to help you as a whole person, not just an isolated body part or an isolated set of symptoms.
It is also my therapeutic aim to empower you with knowledge that can be used not only to promote wellbeing, but also to prevent recurrence of symptoms.
Awareness is the first step to positive changes.
Osteopathic treatment takes a gentle and safe hands-on approach to alleviate pain and improve general health by restoring function, inherent motion and mobility, to body structures compromised by a variety of conditions. It enables the body to utilize its own self-regulating and healing mechanism more effectively.
During the osteopathic examination and treatment, I take a comprehensive look at how your muscles, joints, bones, nerves and organs are positioned and are working together.
This allows me to identify and treat areas of the body that are under undue tension or are not working as well as they could and are causing or contributing to the manifestation of your symptoms.
Everyone — healthy or unwell — can benefit from an Osteopathic evaluation and treatment.
